“THE HARVEST TRULY IS PLENTEOUS, BUT THE LABOURERS ARE FEW; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.” - Mt. 9:37-38
It happened to be an afternoon when I was home. We were preparing to go to lunch with family visiting from out of town when there was a “random” knock at the door. Seeing through the window that it was a young salesman, my natural desire was to hide and pretend no one was home. Instead, I decided to answer the door—and I am so thankful I did.
Forty-five minutes later, I was standing in my driveway in New Jersey, deep in a Gospel conversation with a young man from Virginia who was searching for answers to spiritual questions. A few months later, I had the privilege of meeting with Aidan at a Starbucks. After several hours of conversation, he bowed his head and heart and received Jesus Christ as his Saviour!
Each week, I also have the privilege of providing one-on-one biblical counseling at a drug and alcohol treatment center. Many of those conversations develop into deep Bible studies. Over the years, through His Spirit and His Word, God has convicted many souls of their need for the Saviour, and they have received Christ.
Sadly, many eventually leave the treatment center and return home, only to discover how difficult it can be to find a solid, Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching church near them.
God is still saving souls in the Northeast. The Gospel still works, and people are still searching for answers that can only be found in Jesus Christ. But who will reach them, disciple them, and provide them with a faithful church home?
We need more churches planted throughout the Northeast. We need to strengthen and support the churches already laboring here. And we desperately need more laborers who will see the need, heed the call, and develop a burden for this region.
Through these News letters, our desire is not to simply let people know about the Northeast. We want them to develop a burden for the Northeast!

It’s been one year since Atlantic City Baptist Church was planted following the Gospel Crusade that helped prepare the way for the start of the church. It has been exciting to see all that God has done through the Rodriguez family and this new church over the past year. Reflecting on their first year, Pastor Justin shared what this milestone has meant to him and his family:
"Our one-year anniversary is a reminder of God’s faithfulness! When we look back over this first year, we are amazed at everything God has allowed us to be a part of."
Pastors, their families, church leaders, and church members from throughout the Northeast gathered for three days at the Northeast Vision Summit. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, encouragement, strengthening, and renewed vision for reaching this region.
The Lord graciously met with us, and many who attended expressed the reality of His presence and anointing throughout the services. Each service was filled with Spirit-filled music and preaching that gave Jesus the preeminence He alone is worthy of. We are thankful for the many reports of how God used the Summit to help and encourage His servants.
Please pray that what God did in the hearts of pastors, their families, and church leaders will continue throughout this year as we strive together for the furtherance of the Gospel in the Northeast!
SAVE THE DATE - The Summit 2027 | July 27–29
In June, roughly 250 teens gathered in the foothills of the Pocono Mountains along the Delaware River for a week of camp. No cell phones, no video games, no social media - no distractions. Morning devotions, sweet fellowship, daily day and night preaching, praise & worship, fun games and team sports. Relationships were forged, spiritual decisions were made and Christ was magnified. By God’s amazing grace, over 40 young people accepted Christ as their Saviour! What an encouraging reminder that God is still saving souls and has not given up on the next generation. Please pray specifically for those young people who got saved and made decisions for Christ, that those decisions would carry on throughout their lives.
“Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus... Him would Paul have to go forth with him;” - Acts 16:1, 3
As I travel throughout the Northeast, I am continually reminded of the great need for laborers. There are churches without pastors, churches in need of help, and communities in desperate need of someone willing to go and faithfully preach the Gospel.
But something has especially burdened my heart as I have traveled: we need Timothys.
We desperately need another generation of young men and women who are willing to give their lives to the work of God. We need young men who will surrender to preach, pastor, pioneer churches, and serve wherever God may call them. We need young people who are willing to say, “Here am I; send me.”
When Paul came to Lystra, Timothy was already there. More importantly, he was already a disciple. He had a testimony among the brethren and a heart to follow God. Before Paul ever took Timothy with him, Timothy had already made the decision to be a faithful follower of Christ. We need young people like that! Young people who are walking with God, serving where they are, and willing to follow wherever He may lead.
But there is another side to the story. Paul saw something in this young man and “would have [him] to go forth with him.” Paul was sensitive to recognize a young man with a heart for God, and he was willing to invest in him. Taking Timothy along would require time, patience, teaching, and undoubtedly some inconvenience—but Paul saw the importance of investing in the next generation.
So perhaps the question is not only, “Where are the Timothys?” We must also ask, “Where are the Pauls?” But we must also make sure there is not a disconnect between the two.
We need seasoned pastors, preachers, and faithful Christians who will intentionally invest in the next generation. Bring a young person along. Let them see the work. Give them opportunities to serve. Teach them what God has taught you. Encourage the calling of God upon their life. Paul would later tell Timothy, “the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Timothy 2:2).
The need throughout the Northeast is great, and we must pray that the Lord of the harvest would send forth labourers into His harvest. But perhaps some of those future laborers are already sitting in our churches. Perhaps they need a Paul who will notice them, encourage them, invest in them, and take them along.
We need Timothys willing to go—and Pauls willing to take them along.
